April 6, 2018 – LUCID Vision Labs, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of unique and innovative industrial vision cameras, will be demonstrating a new 2.3 MP Phoenix GigE camera featuring Sony’s Pregius IMX392 image sensor at The Vision Show in Boston.
The IMX392 is the latest addition to Sony’s line-up of Pregius global shutter CMOS image sensors. It features a sensor size of 1/2.3” with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a frame rate of 52 fps. LUCID has integrated this new sensor into its Phoenix GigE PoE camera family and will be showcasing it at The Vision Show (April 10-12, 2018) for the first time. Measuring only 24 x 24 mm in size, the Phoenix camera has a unique transformable design that can be easily configured to meet a wide range of OEM applications. Its board layout can be tri-folded into a stacked camera where it resembles a traditional cased camera but can also be unfolded into 90 or 180-degree orientations for the ultimate custom fit.
“We are excited to be one of the first camera vendors to demonstrate Sony’s new value-optimized 2.3 MP Pregius IMX392 image sensor,” says Rod Barman, Founder and President of LUCID Vision Labs, Inc. “This new sensor has the same global shutter CMOS performance as previous Pregius sensors at a very competitive price point”.
All LUCID cameras conform to the GigE Vision 2.0 and GenICam3 standards and are supported by LUCID’s own Arena software development kit. The Arena SDK provides customers with easy access to the latest industry standards and software technology. Sample units of the Phoenix PHX023S will be available later this quarter and series production is scheduled in Q4 2018.
LUCID will be exhibiting at The Vision Show in Boston (April 10-12, 2018) in booth #210.
