Triton featuring Sony's IMX490 Automotive CMOS Sensor

Automotive camera with 5.4 MP resolution, back-illuminated technology, and simultaneous HDR, LED Flicker Mitigation (LFM), and IP67 Protection.

The IMX490 (BSI) back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor achieves simultaneous HDR shooting and LED flicker mitigation and features industry’s highest 5.4 effective megapixels, enabling wide-angle shooting for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems(ADAS) / Autonomous Driving. This camera model is also well suited for other applications that demand very high HDR imaging such as electrical fuse inspection; high contrast medical imaging; live visible welding analysis; as well as other ITS applications.
120dB HDR function three times that of conventional sensors, plus motion artifact mitigation.
High sensitivity of 2280 mV (standard value: F5.6) improved by approximately 15% over that of conventional sensors.
Triton camera provides IP67 protection, certified shock and vibration operation, EMC industrial immunity, and wide operating temperature.

*The IMX490 achieves high dynamic range using two sub-pixels for each pixel location which vary in sensitivity and saturation capacity. Each sub-pixel is readout with high and low conversion gains giving four 12-bit channels for each pixel. These four channels are combined into single linear 24-bit HDR value. The EMVA1288 standard is not directly applicable to the 24-bit combined data, but is applicable to the individual channels. Results were measured on the individual channels and scaled when appropriate to reflect how the channels are combined into a 24-bit HDR image.
